No Mercury in Fish Oil Supplements

I have to admit I was really pleased to read the report at Consumerlab.com about Omega-3 and Fish Oil Supplements in that when it comes to Mercury levels, out of the 41 tested none contained detectable levels of Mercury (more than 100 ppb).

The reason apparently is as a result that mercury is actually found in the fish meat and not the oil, but combined with the manufacture and filtration process this takes out any contamination.

Still we do not have that problem with Flaxseed oil!
